Affordable Gift Ideas for Tea Lovers

Disclaimer: I received a product free of charge to facilitate this post and giveaway.
As a southerner, I grew up on sweet iced tea baked in the Florida sunshine. Sun-tea! It’s a thang! Look it up! However, when I left Florida and moved to the Minnesota’s tundra I discovered hot tea. The sub-zero temps radiated through the tile floors about 3 feet into the house. Even with fuzzy slippers, I still felt cold – and I discovered hot tea, instead. I also found I preferred loose-leaf tea over bags for the most part. Then, I learned about tea’s health benefits and began stocking my kitchen with my favorite tea accessories.

I think my favorite tea accessories make the perfect gifts for tea lovers! Rather you want to get an inexpensive stocking stuffer, or a teapot that is sure to start a conversation, I have just the suggestion for you!

Perfect Gifts for Tea Lovers

  1. Tea of the Month Subscription

    Plum Deluxe Delightful Morning
Plum Deluxe Delightful Morning – Can’t you almost taste the pretty!

I recommend the Plum Deluxe Tea of the Month subscription. All of their teas are organic and fair-trade. So, you don’t have to worry about exactly how their delightful teas source their ingredients. Each month, your special person (or you!) receives one or two ounces of delightful loose-leaf tea blended exclusively for the tea club. Each month, you receive a seasonal tea blended just for the club. Additionally, you get free shipping on all of your orders – and a free surprise sample. They also sell gift sets and tea accessories. Read more about my personal experience with Plum Deluxe. (And no, there are no plums in their tea.

  2. Tea

    Vahdam Assam Tea Sampler kit
    Vahdam Assam Tea Sampler kit

Well, obviously, your tea lover cannot enjoy a good cup of tea without the tea itself. I usually recommend samplers when giving food gifts. The sampler usually contains their favorites and, hopefully, will introduce them to something new that they will love.

I love Indian Chai tea.  Vahdam is a great choice. It’s Fair Trade, all natural, and ethically grown in India – where they know how to make Chai tea. Their Chai tea sampler set has 10 different Chai teas including India’s Original Masala Chai, Cardamom Chai, Sweet Cinnamon Chai, Kashmiri Kahwa, Earl Grey Chai Tea, Maharani Oolong Chai, Tulsi Masala Chai, Saffron Masala Chai, Double Spice Chai, and Assam Spice Chai.

  3. Tea Infuser Set

Chefast Tea Infuser set for Tea Lovers
    Chefast Tea Infuser set

Looseleaf tea requires a tea infuser. You fill the infuser with your favorite tea, dunk the infuser into hot water, and let it steep for about 5 minutes. I just got this Tea Infuser set by Chefast and think it’s great! The lids twist on instead of sliding on, limiting the risk of getting a bunch of loose tea in your water.

This 4-piece set comes with two individual infusers and one pot-size infuser.  As a bonus, Chefast includes a measuring spoon that doubles as a bag clip to help keep your tea fresh! Social tea lovers enjoy this set because it makes sharing a cup with a friend much easier. Use code UCHEF15X to get 15% anything in the Chefast Amazon Store (including the infuser) until 12/31/2017.

  4. Tea Pot

Cast Iron Teapot with an Aztec design - our 5th anniversary gift
Cast Iron Teapot with an Aztec design – our 5th-anniversary gift

While you don’t “need” a teapot to steep tea, it does make preparing multiple cups much easier. Also, a unique teapot makes a great conversation starter over a cup of tea!

David bought this Cast Iron Aztec teapot as a gift for our 5th anniversary for us. The beautiful markings simulate Aztec designs and the enamel lining makes for easy cleaning. The lining cannot be heated on the stovetop, but it’s easy to pour hot water directly into the pot.

It comes with a trivet which helps keep the teapot hot longer – and protects your table from heat damage.  The teapot includes a removable tea infuser, also.

  5. Electric Kettle

    Gourmia Hot water kettle
    Gourmia Hot water kettle

Big tea drinkers will love an electric hot water kettle like this Gourmia GK220 Supreme Electric Tea Kettle!  It holds almost 2 whole quarts of water.  Safety features include an auto-shutoff and a concealed element.

Of course, you can always just heat your water up on the stove, but that takes FOREVER! This kettle boils water almost instantly, so tea lovers don’t have to wait to enjoy a cup of tea! It’s cordless, so tea drinkers can transport their hot water to their favorite chair. You don’t even have to put that book down to enjoy your next cup!

Just heat up the water, pour it in and let the tea steep! Voila!

  6. Cinnamon Honey Sticks

    Stash Cinnamon Honey Sticks
    Stash Cinnamon Honey Sticks

While honey makes the perfect tea sweetener, cinnamon adds a little pizazz and works well with the Chai teas that I love.  These Stash Cinnamon Honey sticks make the perfect stocking stuffer for tea lovers.

Comprised of nothing more than natural honey and cinnamon extracts, no need to worry about artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors sneaking in!  Stash also makes them in original honey and lemon honey sticks as well.

  • lexieanimetravel

    December 7, 2017 - 4:04 am

This is a clever idea, sometimes when we offer gifts for christmas people tend to buy expensive ones even if they cannot afford it, they end up getting credit just to buy what they want which is sophisticated right. I better buy something that I can afford than something that I can’t anyways it’s the intention that counts not the price of the gift 🙂

  • lucicoo
