The tragedy a screen protector may have averted
Do you recognize that heart-stopping, stomach-dropping, breath-holding moment when you are trying to catch your cell-phone while simultaneously trying not to drop something else? How about that gut-wrenching feeling when you hear the glass crunch? The sound reminds me of that sickening bone crunching in horror films. It is the stuff of nightmares.
A year ago, I dropped my iPad. I saw it slipping from the kitchen counter like a slow-motion reel. It tumbled to the floor, landing hard on the edge. I ungracefully attempted a heroic catch like a center-fielder diving to catch a home-run hit.
I heard that crunch.
I am not a crier. I cried.
To the Rescue
My fantastic, darling, inquisitive husband, David, who wants to make everything better spent hours with a screen repair kit and my iPad. Seriously. I thought they were going to start dating. It didn’t work out.
I believe the only thing that could have prevented the untimely death of my overpriced, out-of-warranty, iPad is a screen protector. Lesson learned.
Our Screen Protector Choice
David recently got the new Nexus 5x phone; he researched screen protectors. When intelliARMOR asked us to write a sponsored post, he researched their products and decided to give them a try. David is a researcher.
We liked that the intelliGLASS Hardened Glass Screen Protector is tempered glass instead of a flimsy film. And, we loved that in addition to being “harder to scratch than steel”, the screen protector is also fingerprint-resistant thanks to an oleophobic coating.
Installing it is a breeze. David worried that the thin, .33 mm glass may make the phone too thick for the case. I was worried about pesky bubbling. Invariably, screen protectors I had tried in the past left bubbles between themselves and the phone impeding clarity and touch sensitivity, but we didn’t have those issues with the intelliGLASS Hardened Glass Screen Protector.
The kit comes with the
- .33 mm intelliGLASS Hardened Glass Screen Protector
- microfiber cloth
- Dust remover tape (shaped like an Armadillo! <3)
- An alcohol wipe
- a screen “squeegee.”
Installation is a matter of cleaning your hands, the phone’s screen, and putting on the glass. It was that easy. We made a video showing how!
Currently, intelliAMROUR doesn’t produce intelliGLASS Screen protectors for my Nexus 9, but as soon as they do, I will be buying one. I don’t want another mishap!
If you’d like to give it a try, use code INTELLI20 at checkout. This is a great deal!
