I love supporting companies that put back more than they take from the world. But sometimes, a particular company simply stands out. For example, earlier this month, I discovered prAna, a fashion line endeavoring “to inspire healthy, active, and free-spirited living.” I honestly wish they crossed my path sooner. I’d have a whole closet of their clothes because they are fashionable, eco-responsible, and socially sensitive.
prAna Quinn Dress
Since it’s spring, I selected the prAna Quinn Dress in Summer Peach. From top to bottom, this little sundress screams stylish comfort. Also, the adorably fashionable double strap racerback style makes this sporty without sacrificing femininity.
Because it’s made from 45% Recycled Polyester, 45% Spun Polyester, and 10% Spandex, it’s light, stretchy, but not clingy. Since it comfortably fits my active lifestyle, the Quinn dress will be a staple in my summer wardrobe.
prAna Calypsa Top
I also chose this adorable Calypsa Top in Moonrock on Point. This comfy top contains 53% Hemp, 42% Organic Cotton, and 5% Spandex. The figure-flattering fit accentuates your curves but will not impede your movement. The odor-resistant UPF 50 material keeps you cool, confident and protected as you go about your day.
Both the top and the dress offer a supportive built-in bra with modesty cups, as well! So that’s one less layer of summer clothing I have to wear. I definitely love this summertime winner for Florida!
Do you like these clothes? Check them out on prAna’s site.
prAna’s Social responsibility
While I admire prAna’s mission to keep bodies in motion, I applaud their commitment to the environment and society. They have one core belief: “To give back more than we take from the world.” prAna is one of the first clothing manufacturers to offer certified Fair Trade products. Fair Trade means that prAna’s factories remain staffed by workers in safe environments earning a fair wage.
Additionally, they support local, national, and international charities. During the holidays, they donate to Outdoor Outreach, a not-for-profit that connects kids with outdoor activities.
Eco-responsibility
Because they understand that commitment to society means leaving a lower carbon footprint, prAna utilizes ethical growing and material processing standards. They produce active lifestyle clothing made with organic cotton, hemp, and recycled polyesters. What does that mean? Since prAna uses environmentally friendly farming techniques, they use fewer pesticides and chemicals in the growing and material production. So, It means a cleaner environment for the future.

While I received samples to try for this blog post, all opinions are my own.
