The perfect omelet pan makes breakfast easy!

You would think by looking at my recipes, that I would be able to cook an omelet.  Nope. That’s I wanted an omelet pan.

(Hangs head in humiliation).  I have never been able to make an omelet successfully. It would eventually become a mess of scrambled eggs with stuff in it – and it wasn’t pretty.  It was a hot mess.  And not just because it was on the stove top.

So, I made a breakthrough!  Last Saturday, we had company for brunch.  I made cheese omelets! (cue cheering… No. Seriously. Cheer!)

The Non-PFOA coated TeChef Omelet Pan is safer than traditional non-stick cookware. Find it on Amazon

I found the TeChef Omelet pan, and it’s opened up whole new breakfast and dinner options for my hubby and I.  This cute, purple pan helped me make omelets! Yay!

Pros: Nothing sticks. I mean nothing. I am making eggs without any oil at all. The pan also cleans up well. I just ran it under hot water with a soapy dishcloth. It came clean, even though I had to leave it sitting a bit while I enjoyed our company. It’s PFOA free. I don’t use traditional Teflon because studies link it to many health problems due to PFOA.

It’s also easy to use. You just put half your egg mixture in each pan half. Top the non-handled half with cheese and toppings when the eggs start bubbling and flip the pan closed. Perfect omelet!

Con: Since you can not just slide them out of the pan with the fold in the pan, I had a little adjustment removing the omelet. With a little practice, I’m improving, however.

Also, the purple paint is getting a little scratched up, however, the coating inside is fine. It’s more of a cosmetic thing, so I will continue to enjoy this pan. Because… I made omelets… Successfully… and that’s impressive.

This is interesting – I saw this omelette pan online while shopping last week. I can even use it to make pancakes.

I haven’t tried that, but it’s a great idea – although they wouldn’t be round. As long as that didn’t bother anyone, you’d be fine!

When I was learning how to make an omelet in high school it was so simple and easy to do then came a hubby and kids. Everything went right out the window. This looks like it would be such a dream!

This is something I need! We have recently gotten into making omelettes on the weekends now that my kids are willing to try more than just scrambled eggs. This would be great to have!

I always have such a hard time with omelets. This pan looks like it would be perfect for me.
